Itinerary

01SAIGON FOODIE TOUR BY CYCLO

17:30 – Hotel Pick-up & Cyclo Experience

Meet your local guide at your hotel in central Ho Chi Minh City and get ready for a completely different way to discover Saigon.

Your traditional cyclo and driver will be waiting outside.

Sit back, relax and watch the city unfold around you as we slowly leave the busy tourist center and enter Saigon’s local neighborhoods.

With no windows between you and the city, you’ll experience the sounds, aromas and energy of Saigon from street level.

STOP 1 – Local Vietnamese Appetizer

Start your foodie adventure at a local eatery away from the main tourist areas.

Taste a popular Vietnamese appetizer or street-food specialty selected for the evening.

Your guide will introduce the ingredients and explain how the dish fits into everyday Vietnamese food culture.

It’s the perfect introduction to the flavors ahead.

STOP 2 – Nguyen Thien Thuat Apartment & Local Neighborhood

Continue by cyclo to the Nguyen Thien Thuat Apartment area in District 3.

This historic residential neighborhood offers a fascinating contrast to modern downtown Saigon.

Walk through narrow alleys surrounded by old apartment blocks, small family businesses, street vendors and tiny local cafés.

Here, everyday life happens right on the street.

Your guide will introduce you to the neighborhood and take you to taste another local specialty.

STOP 3 – Saigon Street Food Experience

It’s time to eat like a local.

Stop at a small family-run food stall or eatery and try one of Saigon’s favorite dishes.

Depending on the selected menu, the experience may include specialties such as Vietnamese pancakes, grilled dishes, noodles or other seasonal local favorites.

Rather than visiting tourist restaurants, we focus on places where local residents actually eat.

STOP 4 – Ho Thi Ky Flower Market

Climb back aboard your cyclo and continue toward one of Saigon’s most colorful evening destinations — Ho Thi Ky Flower Market.

Walk through narrow lanes overflowing with roses, orchids, chrysanthemums and tropical flowers arriving from across Vietnam.

The atmosphere changes after dark as flower sellers, food vendors and local residents fill the neighborhood.

It’s one of the most photogenic stops of the evening.

STOP 5 – Cambodian Market & Street-Food Tasting

Hidden beside Ho Thi Ky is a fascinating Cambodian community and food market.

Follow your guide through the small lanes and discover flavors influenced by both Vietnamese and Cambodian cuisine.

Try selected street-food specialties while learning about the community that has made this neighborhood unique.

The combination of flowers, street food and local life makes this one of the highlights of the tour.

STOP 6 – Famous Saigon Banh Mi

No Saigon food adventure would be complete without Bánh Mì.

Travel by cyclo to a popular local Banh Mi shop and watch as your sandwich is prepared fresh.

Enjoy the crispy Vietnamese baguette filled with savory ingredients, fresh herbs, pickled vegetables and flavorful sauces.

Simple, fast and delicious — exactly how Saigon likes it.

STOP 7 – Vietnamese Sweet Ending

Finish your evening with something sweet.

Taste traditional Tàu Hũ – silky tofu pudding served with a sweet ginger syrup – or another carefully selected Vietnamese dessert.

Relax with your guide and enjoy the final flavors of the evening.

21:00 – 21:30 – Final Cyclo Ride & Tour Finish

Return to your cyclo for a final leisurely ride through Saigon’s illuminated streets.

Watch cafés fill with locals, street vendors prepare their evening dishes and motorbikes flow through the city around you.

Your Foodie Cyclo adventure finishes in central Ho Chi Minh City.
