    Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to travel from Phu My Port to Ho Chi Minh City?

Allow approximately two hours each way as a planning estimate. Actual travel time depends on the berth, port exit arrangements and road conditions.

Can we be picked up beside the cruise ship?

Pickup depends on port regulations and the operator’s access permissions. Your confirmed meeting point may be inside the port or at a designated location reached by shuttle. Do not assume pickup directly beside the ship unless it is confirmed in writing.

Yes. The proposed start time, sightseeing stops and departure from the city can be adjusted once your port schedule is known. Shorter calls may require fewer stops.

Can we visit the War Remnants Museum?

Yes, it can be requested as an alternative to the Independence Palace. Visiting both requires sufficient time and may mean removing other stops.

Is the tour suitable for guests with limited mobility?

The itinerary can be adjusted to reduce walking, but some attractions have steps, uneven surfaces or access limitations. Please share your requirements before booking so vehicle suitability and attraction access can be checked.

What happens if the cruise ship changes its itinerary?

Cancellation, rescheduling and refund arrangements depend on the confirmed booking terms. Request these details before making payment.

How much does the tour cost?

Pricing depends on group size, travel date, vehicle requirements, entrance fees and port access arrangements. Request a quotation for your specific cruise call.

Your journey

Itinerary

01Ho Chi Minh City Shore Excursion from Phu My Port – Private Tour

7:30 AM – Meet Your Guide at Phu My Port

Meet your guide at the confirmed pickup location and begin your journey to Ho Chi Minh City.

The drive generally takes approximately two hours each way, although traffic and port procedures can affect travel time. Along the way, your guide introduces the region and shares an overview of life in southern Vietnam.

Your booking confirmation will specify the meeting point and whether any port shuttle transfer is required.

9:30 AM – Visit the Independence Palace

Begin your city exploration at the Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace.

Explore its historic interiors and learn about the building’s role in Vietnam’s modern history. Your guide provides context for the rooms and exhibits, helping you connect the site with the events that shaped the country.

Optional alternative: Travelers with a particular interest in wartime history can request the War Remnants Museum instead. Some exhibits contain graphic images.

10:45 AM – Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral

Continue to the Saigon Central Post Office, one of the city’s best-known architectural landmarks. Take time to admire its interior and enjoy photographs around the surrounding streets.

Nearby, stop for exterior views of Notre Dame Cathedral where access permits. Cathedral entry is not part of this proposed itinerary; restoration work or local restrictions may affect visibility.

If time allows, take a short stroll along nearby Nguyen Van Binh Book Street.

11:45 AM – Vietnamese Lunch

Pause for lunch at a local restaurant and discover some of Vietnam’s familiar flavors.

The menu can be arranged according to the confirmed package and may include dishes such as fresh spring rolls, a noodle dish or a selection of Vietnamese dishes to share.

Please advise any allergies, vegetarian preferences or other dietary requirements when requesting your quotation.

12:45 PM – Explore Ben Thanh Market

Visit Ben Thanh Market for a glimpse of the city’s trading culture. Browse stalls selling Vietnamese coffee, handicrafts, textiles and souvenirs, or simply enjoy the atmosphere with your guide.

Shopping is optional. Guests who prefer more time for photography or a relaxed coffee stop can request an adjustment in advance.

1:30 PM – Begin the Return Journey to Phu My Port

Leave central Ho Chi Minh City and travel back to the port.

The departure time from the city will be set according to your ship’s all-aboard deadline, allowing a planned buffer for the return journey. Sightseeing may be shortened if disembarkation is delayed or traffic conditions require an earlier departure.

Around 3:30–4:00 PM – Arrive at the Port

Return to the agreed drop-off point and complete any required transfer or port procedures before boarding your ship.
